Become a Sponsor

We would like to first acknowledge that the ADWAS office is located on the lands of the Duwamish people.

This is a special year for ADWAS! ADWAS is celebrating 35 years of service! Please join us to celebrate at the Hope & Justice Gala taking place November 6, 2021 from 5:00pm-10:00pm at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center. We have a special program planned for the 35th birthday gala which will include 35 years of reflection, a week-long silent auction, live auction, dinner, and dessert with a lively auctioneer and MC!

We invite you to sponsor this event, which will include working with us to change how we approach fundraising, as we adopt the community-centric fundraising (CCF) model. This model prioritizes “the entire community over individual organizations, foster a sense of belonging and interdependence, present our work not as individual transactions but holistically, and encourage mutual support between nonprofits.” To learn more, please refer to: https://communitycentricfundraising.org/ We will contact you to schedule a time for a conversation about the new sponsorship opportunity.

What will the new sponsorship look like?

1. Sponsors will be encouraged to donate based on their annual budget (1% of annual budget)

2. Sponsors will receive benefits regardless of how much is donated (new benefits caninclude free anti-racism workshops, engaging in social justice & equity discussions, participating in projects supporting communities that have been marginalized, etc)

3. Sponsors are encouraged to choose a BIPOC, Deaf, DeafBlind run or owned non-profit organization to co-sponsor (.50% to ADWAS, .50% to the non-profit organizationof your choice) Refer to the list of non-profit organizations here.

Thank you for considering this sponsorship opportunity. It takes a community to make this happen and together we can help survivors heal and work towards eliminating violence and oppression.
